Yarrow Point residents, it’s Salmon SEEson! Adult salmon are currently swimming upstream to reach their spawning grounds, after spending a few years out in the ocean. Look for salmon along the Sammamish River Trail in Redmond in September and October. Visit safely with members of your household, making sure to recreate responsibly.

A map of sites (including virtual viewing opportunities!) and more information can be found at: http://bit.ly/salmonseeson

Each fall, salmon make the long trek to spawn in streams and rivers across the Puget Sound region. Safely check out some of the salmon viewing areas near you, while making sure to recreate responsibly. You can also virtually see salmon at some sites online.

Pacific salmon – sockeye, Chinook, coho and chum, kokanee and pinks – have begun their journey from the open ocean to their birthplaces in the streams and rivers that feed into Puget Sound.

Safely watch their extraordinary journey at self-guided and virtual locations around King County, making sure to recreate responsibly.

Salmon SEEson is a great way to safely get outside with your household during Phase II of Washington’s Safe Start plan.
