We are celebrating Public Works Director Istvan Lovas’s 25th work anniversary June 1. Stay tuned for more details!
Istvan came from Hungary, has three kids and started working in Yarrow Point on May 5, 1997. Before he took this job, he lived 7 1/2 years in Cincinnati Ohio by working as a groundskeeper gardener in a retirement home and helped with a lot of elderly people inside outside. Istvan’s hobbies are soccer and a martial arts called Judo. He takes enjoyment in coaching kids twice a week in a nearby Judo club as a volunteer. On weekends he enjoys bike riding, attending Sounders games and weight lifting in the Bellevue Athletic Club where he often runs into Yarrow Point residents.
