The Washington State Department of Revenue requires the (on-site, physical) inspection of residential properties in King County every six years for the purposes of fair and accurate real estate taxation. The Town has just learned that the King County Department of Assessment appraisers will be visiting Yarrow Point over the next few weeks to update records relating to building, accessory buildings, and land characteristics. This will include photographs and occasionally the measuring of structures. The appraisers have identifying badges and vests but typically drive their own personal vehicles. The licenses plate numbers include AFV8859 (white Toyota Prius) and AJT-0377 (gray Toyota Rav-4). The appraisers will knock/ring doorbells and leave business cards if you are not available to answer questions or permit access to the property.
